B. Location Information

With your permission, SearchMee may access your device’s precise or approximate location to identify your current location or area, show nearby shops and businesses, provide location-based search results, calculate approximate distance between you and listed businesses, and improve the relevance of local search results.

Location access is used for location-based features and is not intended for continuous background tracking. You can control or disable location permission through your device settings. If location permission is disabled, some nearby-location features may not work correctly.

C. Business Information

If you register a shop or business on SearchMee, we may collect information such as:

• Business/shop name
• Business category
• Address/location
• Contact number
• Business hours
• Business description
• Business photos/images, where provided
• Other information submitted by the business owner

D. Device and Usage Information

We may collect limited technical and usage information, such as:

• Device type/model
• Operating system
• App version
• IP address
• Crash/error information
• App usage and interaction information
• Diagnostic information

This information may be used to maintain, secure, and improve SearchMee.

2. How We Use Information

• Create and manage user accounts

3. Location-Based Search

SearchMee is designed to provide local shop discovery. When you use nearby-search features and provide location permission, your device location may be used to determine relevant nearby businesses and display search results based on distance.

SearchMee does not require continuous background location tracking for ordinary nearby-shop search.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Information submitted by shop/business owners for a public business listing may be displayed to SearchMee users.

Business owners should not submit confidential or unnecessary personal information as part of a public business listing.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Account & Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their SearchMee account and associated personal information.

From the SearchMee app:

After receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize applicable personal information, subject to information that we are legally required or permitted to retain for legitimate purposes such as legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or financial records.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Open the SearchMee app and log in to your account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Privacy & Security.
4. Scroll down to Account Management and tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm when asked. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

• Your SearchMee account
• Associated personal information linked to your account (such as your profile details and any information you submitted through the app)

We delete or anonymize applicable personal information after receiving a valid deletion request.

What may be kept

We may retain certain information only where we are legally required or permitted to, for legitimate purposes such as:

• Legal compliance
• Security and fraud prevention
• Dispute resolution
• Financial and payment records

This information is kept only for as long as needed for these purposes and is not used for any other reason.

Can’t access the app?

If you can no longer open the app or log in, email us from your registered contact details at Searchmee001@gmail.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”, and include the mobile number linked to your account. We will verify the request and process it.
